IranPlast International Exhibition was held for the first time at the initiative of the National Petrochemical Industry Company in order to promote the domestic plastic industry market and facilitate the process of global marketing and presence in the world markets in 2001. Considering the effective role of the National Petrochemical Industries Company in the production of raw materials used by downstream industries, this company took over the management of this exhibition. The first four sessions of this exhibition were held with the presence of experienced consultants. However, with some structural changes, the holding of this exhibition, which had gained global credibility, was entrusted to the public relations of the National Petrochemical Industries Company, and since this period, the public relations of the National Petrochemical Industries Company has taken over the management of this exhibition. Now, with the change of the role of the National Petrochemical Industries Company from a company that implements plans and manufactures and sells petrochemical products to a development role – whether in the upstream sector of the industry or in the downstream sector – this company is in the position of facilitating and explaining the future roadmap. This industry is in charge of holding this exhibition. A role that can provide a more effective and targeted presence of the country’s petrochemical industries in the downstream sector in the regional markets, which are the country’s main market. Therefore, this company plans to plan and implement regional exhibitions in neighboring countries in order to provide the presence of the country’s producers in the target and export markets
